Συγγραφέας της χρονιάς στη Βρετανία ο Άλαν Χόλινγκχερστ

Ο Άλαν Χόλινγκχερστ, του οποίου το τελευταίο βιβλίο παρόλες τις προβλέψεις δεν συμπεριλήφθηκε στη μικρή λίστα των βραβείων Μπούκερ, πήρε τον τίτλο του συγγραφέα της χρονιάς, στη διάρκεια μιας τελετής που πραγματοποιήθηκε χθες βράδυ στο Λονδίνο. Για τα Galaxy National Book awards ψήφισαν 750 ειδικοί, σε ό,τι αφορά την εμπορία του βιβλίου, από ολόκληρο το νησί. Η "στέψη" του ανακοινώθηκε μαζί με αυτές κάποιων άλλων συγγραφέων σε διαφορετικές κατηγορίες. Η πλήρης λίστα των νικητών έχει ως εξής:
